I'm having the same problem with the incorrect version listing. As far as the importing excel files are you formatting it correctly and saving as a tab delimited file? For each one of your rows you need the 1st column to be 1, 2, 3.....ect, the row above all of your items should each have a # symbol above each column. The row above that should be the top row and it should have each column name. Save that as a tab delimited file and it should import no problem.
